What Do You Want to Say YES To?

We’ve all heard that saying “yes” to something means that we are saying “no” to something else. Usually this is perceived as making a negative choice.

For example, when we say YES to working an extra shift, we are saying NO to spending time with our family, ourselves, or our hobbies.

What if we turned that around to mean something positive?

What if…

  • When we say YES to working out, we are saying NO to feeling blah.

  • When we say YES to an extra project, we are saying NO to uninspiring routine work.

  • When we say YES to playing with our kids in the morning, we are saying NO to leaving right away to beat traffic.

  • When we say YES to someone’s idea, we are saying NO to old traditions.

  • When we say YES to our ideas, we are saying NO to self-doubt.

  • When we say YES to giving our full attention to someone, we are saying NO to our distractions.

  • When we say YES to ‘this could work,’ we are saying NO to ‘this definitely won’t work.’

  • WHAT IF…When we say YES to our crazy, wild, bodacious vision for our future, we are saying NO to future regret.

YES doesn’t always mean more work, more time, or more resources. YES could mean more freedom, more trusting relationships, and more of what you are capable of. Say YES because you believe in someone. Say YES because you’re ready for change. Say YES because our patients deserve it. Say YES because this moment won’t last forever.

Be a YES in a world of NO’s. Be someone’s YES. Especially yours.

What do you want to say YES to?

Until next week,

Brooke
